Hyundai Heavy aims for $27 bln ship orders in 2008

Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., the world's largest shipbuilder, was aiming to win $27.4 billion worth of orders in 2008 from an estimated $26.9 billion in 2007.

Hyundai said that it was also aiming to post annual revenue of 18.1 trillion won ($19.34 billion) in 2008; up 16 percent from an estimated 15.6 trillion won in 2007.The Company’s 2007-estimated order total represented a 42 percent jump from 2006, while the 2007 revenue figure represented a 24 percent increase.
