Norwegians target Offshore India
Little more than a year after first approaching the Indian offshore market, Fosnavaag-based Havila International ASA is providing designs for new fewer than eight anchor handling tugs under construction in India for owners including the Shipping Corporation of India .

These will include bringing some Indian yard personnel to its facilities inNorway as well as sending its own design specialists to India at key stages of construction. Elsewhere in Asia , Havyard designs are proving popular. They have been chosen by Swire Pacific Offshore for the construction of four anchor handlers at Drydocks World – Singapore , formerly Pan United Marine, with delivery scheduled from the first quarter of 2011. Moreover, Havyard 842 designs will be used for four new vessels to be built at Yuexin Shipyard in Guangzhou , China .
