Officials within DMC estimate that around 30,000 to 50,000 new boats poised to be berthed at Dubai in the next 5 years. The initial 44 berths will be used by Dubai Maritime City to test the impact of water movement around the City and the stability of boats within its marina. It will also house a number of vessels owned and operated by Dubai Maritime City Authority, which is responsible for the regulation of the maritime industry within the Emirate of Dubai.
