The vessel then performed sea trials in which it achieved a top speed of 42 knots. The HSS 1500 catamaran was built in 1997 in Rauma. The vessel is driven by gas turbine propulsion and can carry a maximum of 1,500 passengers and 375 cars. ‘Stena Discovery’ will reach La Guaira on July 1 from will commence a service to El Guamacho in August.

‘Stena Discovery’ makes a comeback
‘Stena Discovery’ was delivered to Venezuelan operator Albamar after a long hiatus.
