The Offshore Service Vessel and Tug and Barge markets in Southeast Asia will form the focus for the sixth Asian Shipping and Work Boat Forums to be held at Suntec Singapore from 24-25 February 2009.
The OSV sector, which has witnessed unprecedented growth during the past five years, has influenced other work boat and tug and barge activity with an enormous number of new vessels having been built and more under construction. The objective of the ASEAN OSV and Tug and Barge Forums is to help owners and operators of and suppliers to OSVs, tugs and barges, their designers and builders, to see into the future and to plan accordingly. The audience will comprise senior managers of OSV and tug and barge owning and operating companies, their customers in the offshore oil, and gas exploration and production companies, and, the suppliers to and regulators of both groups. The aim is to create better, more economical, more efficient and more environmentally friendly vessels and to be able to operate them so as to maximise the benefits of those very important qualities. ASWB is already 70 per cent sold a full eight months ahead of the event which takes place over three days at Suntec Singapore from 24-26 February 2009. Last year’s ASWB 2007 drew more than 3,000 de-duplicated attendees during the three day exhibition.
