Singapore business events players honoured at this year’s Singapore Business Events Awards

The Singapore Tourism Board announced the seven winners of this year’s Singapore Business Events Awards at a gala event held at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore.

Selected by a distinguished panel of international judges are recognised for their outstanding contribution to the Singapore business events industry, these winners in 2007, which has helped Singapore to maintain its lead as a Business Travel, meetings, incentive travel, conventions and exhibitions (BTMICE) destination. The Singapore Business Events Awards were launched last year as part of the STB’s industry development efforts to boost the Singapore business events industry’s professionalism, innovation and creativity and raise its service excellence benchmark. In its second year, the Awards aim to highlight exemplary business events, organisations and individuals who have raised the industry’s profile and demonstrated excellence in creativity, innovation, business and service excellence in the preceding year. At the ceremony, seven awards were bestowed on exemplary industry players ranging from Professional Conference Organisers (PCO), Professional Exhibition Organisers (PEO) and Destination Management Companies (DMC) to venues (such as exhibition/conference venues, hotels), freight forwarders and other related companies such as stand contractors, AV, production and staging companies. The winners were chosen for their ability to deliver world-class business events and their contribution to bolstering Singapore’s position as a premier Business Travel and MICE destination.
