The city is going to invest more than CNY5 billion (US$731 million) on the facility and start construction this year, Xinhua reported. After completion, the complex will be able to handled more than 10 million TEU, or more than 100 million tonnes, every year. The port complex construction comprises 18 projects this year, which include 17 terminals and a bridge connecting the Beijing-Kowloon, Wuhan-Kowloon railway and also the Daqing-Guangzhou-Beijing and Wuhan-Ezhou highway.
