The Director General of Kaohsiung Harbour Bureau, Hsieh Ming-hui, has also recently signed letters of intent to cooperate with Shanghai, Qingdao and Tianjin.Deputy Director of Kaohsiung Harbour Bureau Huang Kuo-ying said he saw bright prospects in this new cooperation with the Port of Dalian. He said that Kaohsiung planned to become sister ports with Shanghai, Qingdao and Tianjin in the future.

Sister ports launch cross-strait service
Taiwan’s Port of Kaohsiung and the Chinese Port of Dalian have recently signed a new cooperation agreement to operate as sister ports.
